Growing up with a dad who loves photography it was only natural for me to develop a healthy interest in it. Over the years, I watched him pack his camera everywhere we went (until I was old enough to act as a sherpa) and take (later I learned the difference between taking and making photographs) pictures of nearly everything.
In 2012, the real urge to take photographs got to me. This happened on a Kindness in Action trip to Guatemala (with my dad, of course). Since I am not a dental professional, there was a limit on what I could do to help with some patients. At times I was considered the “designated photographer” grabbing the Canon from around my dad’s neck and snapping photos around the work area. This trip changed my life in many ways, from seeing how fortunate I have been with my life in Canada, to finding the spark inside me for photography.
Since then, I have been lucky enough to travel and develop my photography experience along the way. I am happy to share my work with others at the Gallery.
