About Learning the Basics

We first presented this workshop in late 2020, you know right before that thing happened, and it was very succesful.  The second edition was postponed/cancelled in 2022 for a variety of reasons but we are determined to get this edition off and running.  Much has changed in the last few years on the technology front, but the basics of photography remain unchanged.  In this workshop, we will try to teach you the skills to take you beyond simply ‘pointing and shooting’.  Instead of letting your phone or camera control your images, teaching you the basics needed so you can control your images.  We also hope to light a little bit of a creative fire so you are motivated to make images that are meaningful to you and explore your creativity.
