Home 2022

The 2022 edition of Julian’s Charity Calendar is now available at The Gallery.  The price is $25 (includes GST), with all profits being donated to charity.  The calendar will sell out this year as I have reduced the number of copies printed to eliminate losses due to unsold calendars.  If you cannot make it to the Gallery soon, you can contact us here to have us hold a copy.

“All that we are is story. From the moment we are born to the time we continue on our spirit journey, we are involved in the creation of the story of our time here. It is what we arrive with. It is all we leave behind. We are not the things we accumulate. We are not the things we deem important. We are story. All of us. What comes to matter then is the creation of the best possible story we can while we’re here: you, me, us, together. When we can do that and we take the time to share those stories with each other, we get bigger inside, we see each other, we recognize our kinship – we change the world, one story at a time…”

Richard Wagamese

I tell my story through my images. I share them through prints, audio/visual presentations, books and calendars. Oh, and online I guess – but those of you who know me know of my hate/hate relationship with social media – so my online sharing is mainly through my websites.

This calendar is my eighth charity calendar and it is a story of my home (actually, ours) – the planet earth. This is our reality and it is up to each of us to decide how we respond to it, treat it and live in it. This blue orb of ours, floating in the vastness of the reality of what lies beyond, is an amazing place and one that I am honoured to call home.

The images that I am sharing in this calendar are ones that reflect my impressions and feelings about our home. Some were made close to my abode and others about as far from my abode as you can get, but they are all of our home.

I hope at least some of them will invoke a feeling of awe, gratitude, appreciation, mystery, kindred spirit, ahhh the list could go on!  What you do with those feelings is up to you.  What you do with our home is up to you too. I am not about to get preachy because I don’t know the answers. In fact, I’m not even sure I know the questions!

As in previous years, all profits from the sale of this calendar will be donated to charity. This time to charities that benefit our home is some way. If you have any suggestions of worthy causes please reach out to me. Thank-you and enjoy our home (and the calendar).
