ABOUT Dylan Farrell

Dylan Farrell is a born musician whose experience has led him to gain an artistic depth that most artists only aspire to. As a singer-songwriter he has the ability to tell vivid weighted stories with a few simple words, not to be rivalled by his guitar playing which displays a level emotional maturity and a technical depth and dexterity that is truly remarkable for someone of his age.

Originally from New Brunswick, Dylan began his professional career playing in his father’s band in Saint John at the age of 15. Upon moving to Edmonton in 2012, he almost instantly became a fixture in the city’s thriving roots and blues scene, lending his consummate skill as a sideman to several acts, and hosting weekly blues jams at local venues.  Having solidified a sterling reputation through these side projects, Dylan is now placing his focus on his own musical voice. With his band, the Dylan Farrell Band, he is a two-time winner of the Memphis Bound Blues Challenge, and a semi finalist at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis Tennessee.  While in Memphis in 2018 Dylan set out to record an album at Ardent Studios, which has been graced by the likes of Stevie Ray Vaughan, ZZ Top, and BB King.

In May of 2023, Dylan will release his debut full length record “Mississippi Circle” which is a collection of eleven tracks from the live off the floor recording done in Memphis in 2018 along side producer Brian Moncarz. The project captures the soul of Memphis and is a throwback to how records were made in the 60’s and 70’s.
